New year, new baby. Karrine Steffans is pregnant!
Now referred to as Elisabeth Ovesen, earlier this week, the vixen-turned-writer took to her official Instagram account to share the exciting news with the world.
Upon her announcement, Ovesen, 44, detailed the current health scares she’s had to face, revealing how frightening the experience of reentering motherhood at an older age has been for her.
“For some women, women like me, these two lines are scary. They conjure feelings of fear and anticipation, anxiety and confusion. Memories of past reproductive and pregnancy traumas rise to the surface,” she wrote in the caption, along with an image of the positive test in her hand. “Frantic calls to the doctor, emergency appointments, blood work and ultrasounds — not just to check on the new life developing inside, but the scars, the tumors, the cysts.”
