Atlanta rap icon Future is recognized as the only rapper to spend the entirety of 2022 on the Billboard Hot 100!

The data was shared in a tweet by Hip Hop All Day, which shows that the mix-tape King Pluto spent a total of 52 weeks atop the chart, along with his ninth studio album I NEVER LIKED YOU which dropped earlier this year.

Future beat out numerous other big-time rappers including Drake, who remained on the chart for 51 weeks. Other top contenders included Lil Baby, Doja Cat, Jack Harlow, 21 Savage, Latto, and Lil Nas X.

Future had a big year in 2022, so much so that he sold off a large portion of his music publishing catalog to Influence Media Partners. In September, Future reportedly sold a good portion of his catalog in an eight-figure deal that is said to be worth upwards of $75 million.

Future’s chart-topping, I NEVER LIKED YOU album also included Apple Music’s most-streamed song of 2022 in “WAIT 4 U” featuring Drake and Tems.

Future Hendrix also acquired new real estate this year, purchasing a lavish ocean-view apartment for $7.5 million in Miami. It includes a private pool and four-car sky garage on the same floor along with “a gym, spa, pool, lobby bar, restaurant, whiskey bar, cigar lounge, game room and a movie theater” decorated to look like the inside of a Bentley car.

In other Future news, I NEVER LIKED YOU was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2023 Grammys, and he’s set to embark on his One Big Party Tour starting in January, which will include supporting performances from Kodak Black, Trippie Redd, Polo G, EST Gee, Babyface Ray, Rob49 and others.
