Big Scarr is dead? Just when we thought the year could not get any worse, another star has fallen. Only a few months after losing Migos member, Takeoff, the black community is soon mourning another loss. Hip hop has lost another gem and Gucci Mane has come out to confirm the death of his label signee, Big Scarr.
On Dec 22, news of Big Scarr’s death started circulating on the internet. Big Scarr legally known as Alexander Woods, was a rapper signed to Gucci Mane’s record label, New 1017 Records.
The Memphis rapper was talented with his craft and was preparing to meet his fans on a music tour scheduled to hold next year. Despite wishful thinking, the rumor appears to be true. Big Scarr is dead at age 22.
Gucci Mane confirmed the death of Big Scarr via an Instagram post. In a tribute picture of Big Scarr, he captioned, “This hurt 😢 I’m a miss you.”
At the time of his death, Big Scarr was 22 years old. Meanwhile, the cause of the American rapper’s death is still left unknown to the media.
However, speculations have it that it might be a case of a drug overdose. He was said to have overdosed on Percs while with his girlfriend.
Big scarr’s death is one of many that have happened in the hip-hop industry this year such as FBG Cash, PNB Rock, and Lil Keed, amongst others. While fans have been posting RIPScarr on Twitter, other celebrities have also written tributes
