Latto’s gun charge is back in the headlines. If you didn’t know, in May 2021, the rapstress joined the list of celebrities to be caught with the “Glock.”

A search of Latto’s luggage at LAX airport resulted in the “Big Energy” rhymer’s arrest, and she was later charged with carrying a loaded firearm and a concealed weapon.

According to TMZ, last April, Latto was ordered to take a gun safety course, put in 120 hours of community service, and stay away from firearms as part of the program.

The 24-year-old spoke candidly about the case in her verse on Mello Buckzz’s “Boom, Pt. 2.” She rapped, “I got locked up in the airport, godd*mn, forgot the gun…”

Latto spoke up to address the rumor that she is scheduled to go before the judge next month to see if all legal requirements have been met by the lyricist. If the hearing goes successfully, both of Latto’s charges will be dropped.

The rapper encouraged her followers to debunk the rumor by claiming that it was “false news” and she was not enrolled in any program. She wrote in a tweet,

“Idk who put out that false ass information cause I’m not in no damn program…also the situation happened over a year ago & y’all never even knew until I mentioned it in the Boom pt 2 verse. Nun to “brag” about. Leave me alone.”
