R&B singer August Alsina has released his most biographic and transparent project yet. On March 10th, the August Alsina Myself album was released via his label, Shake The World and the independent label, EMPIRE. It’s Alsina’s first album since 2020’s The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy.
Alsina has quietly been preparing this album for several months. The lead single, “Lied To You,” was released back on December 16th, along with a visual.
He followed that up with the album title track a month later on January 20th. “Myself” dives into all the personal themes we can expect from the full project, without revealing too much. Both visuals are directed by Markmark.
Most recently he released the third single, “Weekdays” featuring Zu and Deeno just last month.
The album features 10 tracks. a stark contrast to the 27 songs that appeared on his last project.
