We are halfway through Married at First Sight Nashville season 16 and Lifetime recently aired the “midway to decision day” predictions episode, The Journey So Far Nashville.
Here… we got to see host Kevin Frazier of Entertainment Tonight and his returning panelists Angelique Jackson of Variety, Nicole Haynes of Essence, Emily Longeretta of Variety, and Gary Gerard Hamilton of The Associated Press return to give their “midway to decision day” predictions.

Christopher and Nicole:

Chris is a 36-year-old business consultant who relocated to Nashville from Chicago, and Nicole is a senior marketing advisor who also moved to Nashville by way of New York.
The pair started off hot and heavy and have been going strong ever since! They are the closest couple of this season and appear to be a match made in heaven. Once Nicole showed Chris support when he felt down about not being able to have all of his dogs in their joint home, the bond between them became even stronger. Now they face the struggles of making sure they can keep the fire going and not allowing the past to creep into their relationship.

Airris and Jasmine:

Airris is a 39-year-old software engineer developer and instructor and Jasmine is a 31-year-old competitive cheerleading coach.
Soon after the honeymoon, Airris expressed to the experts and his wife that he was not as attracted to her as she is to him. He has struggled throughout this process to feel some kind of attraction for Jasmine. Jasmine did not expect Airris to not be attracted to her and feels like she is not getting what she signed up for. She feels her efforts to get Airris to see her as his wife are falling on deaf ears.

Mackinley is a 33-year-old entrepreneur who recently moved to Nashville and is in-between jobs, while Domynique is a 25-year-old account manager.
The chemistry between the couple was just not there, and things took a turn for the worst as soon as they began their honeymoon! Dom felt as though Mackinley was a complainer and wasn’t willing to experience adventurous things that she enjoyed without complaining. Also, Dom was not happy that Mackinley appeared to be in-between jobs with no home of his own. During a meeting with Pastor Cal, Dom asked for a divorce. This isn’t the first time a MAFS participant decided to ask for a divorce way before decision day. Alyssa and Chris of MAFS Boston season 14 also called it quits way before decision day.

Clint and Gina:

Clint is a 40-year-old account executive and Gina is a 36-year-old owner of a hair salon.
Things between Clint and Gina started off rocky, but seem to be getting better, maybe… Clint made a comment early on about Gina’s physical appearance in reference to her not being the typical woman he would date. The comment made all of the women in the cast uncomfortable, and Clint has been climbing out of the doghouse ever since. This couple also struggles with attraction and does not seem to be physically one another’s type and can’t seem to get past that. All in all, we feel they are independent hard workers and will attempt to give the marriage a try without the cameras.

Shaquille and Kristen:

Shaquille is a 31-year-old executive director while Kirsten is a 32-year-old real estate agent.
This duo was a shocker, to say the least. We felt as though the lifestyles of Shaquille and Kirsten may not match, and Kirsten may have wanted a more masculine man than Shaquille. Although Shaquille’s masculinity has come into question, the actual struggle for this couple seems to be Kirsten letting down her walls and being able to share some of the control, and their ability to communicate with one another clearly. The physical attraction was there for both Shaquille and Kirsten from the wedding day, but the pace was initiated by Kirsten when it came to physical touch and intimacy. Although there have been some struggles, we think this couple will go far!
