Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s newborn son’s name has finally been revealed. According to the child’s birth certificate, obtained by The Blast, his name is Riot Rose Mayers–right on par with the rest of the family whose names also begin with the letter “R.”
Riot’s birth certificate indicated that he was born at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m. on August 1. The reported date is just two days before an alleged inaccurate report by TMZ that he was born on August 3.
As you may already know, the superstar couple’s first child’s name is RZA, named after famed Wu-Tang Clan member with the same stage name. Unlike his baby brother however, his name was revealed a few weeks after he was born. In this case, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second born’s name remained a mystery for a month. It was even rumored that the sex of the child was a girl.
Nonetheless, fans are excited and can’t wait for images of Riot to emerge but they shouldn’t be expecting anything too soon. Rihanna’s representative said she and A$AP would be spending the first few months with Riot in private.
“Rihanna ASAP will spend the early days of parenthood out of the public eye and won’t make any immediate plans to debut the new baby,” they shared.
In other Rihanna news, she’s been promoting her latest FENTY x PUMA collab which is set to be released on September 15.
“We are back… reintroducing the Avanti. [soccer ball emoji] #FENTYxPUMA available Sept. 15 at puma.com & select retailers globally,” she announced via Instagram.
Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky recently won the Virgil Abloh award presented by LVMH at Harlem’s Fashion Row Fashion Show and Style Awards earlier in the week.
Both artists have been kicking down doors in fashion and music since day one, even as new parents of two.
