Due to his atypical marriage to Jada Pinkett-Smith, rapper Will Smith has recently been in the spotlight. With Sandra Denton of Salt-N-Pepa, however, events might have transpired differently.

Denton, who toured with ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ star and his partner DJ Jazzy Jeff in the early years of their music careers, revealed that she went on a single date with Smith and was intrigued by him, but she turned him down because she thought he was far too “nice” in a recent clip from his new podcast, “Class of ’88,” which features the hip hop senstation chatting with Pepa.

“Okay, you were very nice,” her memory of the date started with a trip through Los Angeles.

“This was the date you won and beat us out. You was so happy. You was like let’s go celebrate,” she said, referencing Smith’s first-ever Grammy win in 1989 where he and Jeff beat out Salt-N-Pepa and LL COOL J, who were also nominated in the rap category.

“Then we were out and you saw a homeless person. You gave the homeless person $100. And it was so nice. Then, we went to the Hollywood sign,” Pepa furthered, as the “Independence Day” actor recollected she was had spit up with her boyfriend at the time, Naughty by Nature’s Treach.

Will Smith Shares Rapper Beef Story

“I think you and Treach had been broke up for a minute. So, in my mind when I was like trying to spit my game but I ain’t really have nothing. Cuz my concern was I was gonna get killed,” the Philly native explained.

Cheryl James (Salt) responded by asserting that the sentiment “was a legit concern,” which caused everyone in attendance to burst out laughing.

Shortly after seeing the video, Treach himself responded to the matter on social media by making light of the Chris Rock-Smith Oscars slap incident.

The ‘O.P.P.’ hitmaker reshared the story’s headline as the caption for a post. “”KEEP MY NAME CONCERNING MY EX-BTCH OUT YO FCKING MOUTH”!! [laughing emoji],” Treach expressed.
