Kodak Black files to dismiss oxycodone case. Black’s lawyer believes the whole situation was a setup to cover up the Florida officer’s personal vendetta against the rapper.

We reported last year that Kodak Black was arrested for oxycodone possession and trafficking in Fort Lauderdale. In the article, we reported that Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kahan Kapri, was pulled over in a traffic stop by Florida Highway Patrol troopers on Friday, July 15th… Officers found 31 tablets of oxycodone in a small clear bag, over $74,000 in cash and a driver’s license that expired over 30 days ago. The ‘Tunnel Vision’ rapper was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and trafficking oxycodone of less than 25 grams. He was taken to Broward County Jail where he’s being held without bail.

Now, Kodak’s attorney is saying that not only was the arrest a waste of Florida taxpayers money, but he is also saying that the arrest was part of a coverup involving an FBI special agent officer. According to TMZ, “Kodak Black’s arrest for drug possession was nothing but a big waste of taxpayer money, according to his lawyer, who wants the whole case dismissed … claiming his pain pills were OTC and fully legal. Bradford Cohen, Kodak’s attorney, is also accusing the Broward Sheriff’s Office of a massive cover-up involving FBI Special Agent James Mitchell, who Cohen says is biased against Kodak. He even claims prosecutors tried to withhold a body cam video of an officer surveilling Kodak and now Cohen wants the case tossed entirely.

Although Kodak Black files to dismiss oxycodone case, this isn’t his first time having issues with the law. In October 2015, Black was stopped by police for traffic violation. Was driving with a suspended license and police found marijuana in the car.  Arrested on an outstanding warrant. In April 2016, he arrested on marijuana and weapons charges after police witnessed him purchasing marijuana.  He then tried to escape in his car. In February 2017, he was arrested for violating his probation from August sentencing. In January 2018, A live stream on Kodak Black’s Instagram feed showed the rapper in his Broward home, surrounded by drugs and weapons with his child nearby.
