Amandla Stenberg’s net worth proves they’re still very much booked and busy!
If you didn’t know, the multi-hyphenate is back with another project. This time, it happens to be Star Wars series The Acolyte, which premiered on Disney+ last month. In the live-action production, we see Stenberg–who identifies by the pronouns she/they–playing the leading roles of twin sisters “Osha” and “Mae.” Having hit the streaming platform on June 4, The Acolyte is already causing quite a conversation among viewers.
Stenberg has had an interesting past year, to say the least, as she was recently spotted on RuPaul’s Drag Race and in the animated flick Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (voicing Margo Kess) in 2023.
With a two-decade-long run in Hollywood, the 25-year-old’s on-screen talent is only better with every endeavor. Let’s get into a brief rundown of Stenberg’s accomplishments and what it means for their success today.

What’s Amandla Stenberg’s Net Worth?
As a youngster, Stenberg reportedly appeared in catalog shoots for Disney, which ultimately led to commercial work. However, it wasn’t until their early teenage years that they found themselves in the mainstream arena.
In 2011, the West Coast native was cast in the Zoe Saldana-led action movie Columbiana, where she portrayed the younger version of Saldana’s character, ‘Cataleya Restrepo.’ From there, Stenberg ripped through the plastic of their then-growing career when they took on the role of ‘Rue’ in 2012’s The Hunger Games, which scored over $695 million at the worldwide box office.
Following the victory, Stenberg gained numerous film/TV credits, including Mercy (2013), Sleepy Hollow (2013), Rio 2 (2014), Mr. Robinson (2015), As You Are (2016), Everything, Everything (2017), and The Darkest Minds (2018), among others. Aside from landing a spit in Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” music video in 2016, their next stand-out moment came in the 2018 coming-of-age drama The Hate U Give, based on the 2017 novel by young adult author Angie Thomas.
Stenberg starred in The Hate U Give alongside fellow acting heavyweights Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, Common, and Anthony Mackie, to name a few. The story follows a 16-year-old Black girl named Starr who witnesses her male best friend lose his life at the hands of a white police officer.
Per Box Office Mojo, The Hate U Give brought in over $34 million at the worldwide box office. Stenbern won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for her participation.
2022 earned them an executive producer title in the comedy horror Bodies, Bodies, Bodies. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Stenberg’s net worth is a guesstimated $2 million, while other sources cite nearly $4 million. Of course, those aren’t verifiable numbers, but we wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some accuracy to them. The public figure has their hand in more than one money pot.

Stenberg Is More Than a Movie Star
In 2015, Stenberg, alongside then-duo mate Zander Hawley, released their debut EP, Honeywater. The twosome followed up with another work, Wonder, before seemingly going their separate ways.
Stenberg would go on to drop a solo single, “Let My Baby Stay,” which was featured on the soundtrack for Everything, Everything. The on-screen phenomenon hopped behind the scenes for the song’s visual, serving as its official director and editor. In 2024, Stenberg unveiled her latest track, “Discourse,” in honor of Juneteenth.

Additionally, Stenberg co-wrote the famous Niobe comic book series in 2015. That same year, TIME Magazine included her in their ‘Most Influential Teens’ list… and again in 2016. She made Forbes’ ’30 Under 30′ in 2018 as well.
