Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj teamed up for the song “Hot Girl Summer” in 2019, which was a huge success. The track reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, hinting at a strong rapport between the two rappers. The collab came after the hip-hop stars chatted on Instagram Live, and Nicki hopped on the song shortly after (per 105.1 The Bounce).

2020: Megan Thee Stallion is featured on Cardi B’s “WAP.”

Rumors about a feud between Nicki and Megan began to circulate in 2020. Things were exacerbated when Megan dropped a Cardi B collaboration called “WAP.” Given Nicki’s long-standing feud with Cardi, fans speculated that Megan’s alliance with Cardi might have strained her relationship with Nicki. Despite the gossip, neither Megan nor Nicki publicly addressed the rumors at the time.

Rumors about Nicki and Megan’s beef reignited after the former unfollowed the latter on Instagram, a move often interpreted as a sign of beef, according to The U.S. Sun. During an episode of Queen Radio, Nicki appeared to aim at Megan — though she did not explicitly name the Houston rapper. “Imagine telling someone you didn’t want to drink because you were, at the time, possibly pregnant. Because you were actively having a baby,” Nicki said, adding, “Imagine if that person said, ‘Oh girl, you can go to the clinic.'”

Megan responded to the claims on X, formerly known as Twitter, denying the allegations. “LIES,” Megan wrote in response to a fan. However, it was evident that the friends.

2023: Nicki and Megan trade shots on diss tracks.

By 2023, Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion’s feud was hotter than ever. After she appeared to blast Megan on Queen Radio, Nicki doubled down on her disdain for the “Savage” rapper on her song “Red Ruby Da Sleez.” “Ya fuckin’ bozo / That .40 cal a make ’em dance like a go-go,” Nicki raps. Some believed that the bar was a reference to the shooting incident that occurred between Megan and Tory Lanez.

2024: The feud takes center stage, with Nicki and Megan releasing diss tracks.

In January, Megan released a diss track called “Hiss,” and it included an obvious jab at Nicki and her husband – who was previously convicted of rape. “These h–s don’t be mad at Megan, these h–s mad at Megan’s Law/ I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start,” Megan raps. Of course, Nicki did not take the attack lightly. After going on a vile Instagram Live rant, Nicki released “Big Foot,” firing back at Megan. “Bad b***h she like six foot, I call her Big Foot/ The b***h fell off, I said get up on your good foot,” Nicki raps in her response.

Megan had not responded to Nicki for months. However, she appeared to circle back to her feud with the “Super Bass” star on her album. On the song “Rattle,” Megan raps, “Ain’t got no tea on me, this h– think she TMZ.” And while some internet sleuths think the bar is clearly aimed at Nicki, others have suggested that it could be a dig at Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Nicole.
