Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta hit our screens in 2008, offering a peek into the glamorous lives of Atlanta’s elite. The show quickly became a pop culture phenomenon, with its mix of drama, luxury, and unforgettable personalities. Over the years, the series has given us countless iconic moments and introduced us to some unforgettable women.
When RHOA premiered, it brought a fresh concept to reality TV. We got to see the lives of Atlanta’s high society through the eyes of five women. The first season introduced us to Nene Leakes, Kim Zolciak, ShereĂ© Whitfield, Lisa Wu, and DeShawn Snow. From Nene and Kim’s on-again, off-again friendship to ShereĂ©’s infamous “Who gon’ check me, boo?” moment, Season 1 was packed with memorable scenes.
The original cast of RHOA each carved out unique paths, from business ventures to acting careers and personal growth. These women have stayed in the public eye, each leaving a lasting legacy on reality TV and beyond. So, where is the original cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta now? Here’s an update!
Nene Leakes
Nene Leakes, the queen bee of the original cast, has had quite the journey since leaving RHOA. After her exit, she ventured into acting with roles on Glee and The New Normal. Nene also made her mark on Broadway, appearing in Cinderella and Chicago. In recent years, she’s focused on her business ventures, including her fashion line, SWAGG Boutique. Though she left RHOA in 2020, she remains iconic in the franchise.
Nene returned to our screens in 2024 with a reality TV series on Lifetime.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann
Kim Zolciak left RHOA in Season 5 to star in her own spin-off, Don’t Be Tardy, which followed her family life. She has kept busy with her skincare line, Kashmere Kollections, and her swimwear brand, Salty K Swim. Kim’s life is all about her family, and she often shares moments with her six kids on social media.
Shereé Whitfield
ShereĂ© Whitfield’s “Who gon’ check me, boo?” remains one of the most quoted lines from RHOA. Since her time on the show, ShereĂ© has focused on her fashion line, She by ShereĂ©. After leaving the show in Season 4, she returned in later seasons. ShereĂ© continued to be a fan favorite thanks to her witty comebacks and no-nonsense attitude. However, she decided to say goodbye to the franchise ahead of Season 16. In May 2024, ShereĂ© was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Christian Harvest University.
Lisa Wu
Known on RHOA for her entrepreneurial spirit, Lisa Wu left the show after Season 2. She continued her real estate and acting career. Lisa appeared in several films and television shows and remains active in the entertainment industry. She also penned a book titled When the Cake is Made, showcasing her writing talents, and launched a baby clothing line called Hart 2 Hart Baby, and a jewelry line named Wu Girls.
DeShawn Snow
DeShawn Snow was the peacekeeper in Season 1 and is known for her charitable work. After her exit from RHOA, DeShawn focused on her foundation, the DeShawn Snow Foundation, which aims to help young girls build self-esteem. She also went through a public divorce from NBA player Eric Snow. DeShawn turned her focus to writing and released a series of children’s books.
As we look back on the original cast of RHOA, they have all continued to evolve and succeed in their respective fields. Their time on RHOA may have started their journey, but their stories are far from over.
