We get it… people love Tyler Perry!  We do too.  But it hasn’t all been good.  And if you think they have… then maybe this particular story isn’t for you.

Tyler Perry movies have been part of the culture for awhile now. From the start with his plays, to his first movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Tyler Perry has created films worth talking about. But I think we can all agree that some of the wigs he’s used could’ve been a lot better — along with some of his movies.

Tyler Perry has created movies that have touched us and that we will likely continue to talk about. But there are also some movies that don’t even deserve a second look. We rank the worst Tyler Perry movies from bad to worst.

A Fall From Grace (2020) starred some amazing actors including Bresha Webb, Phylicia Rashad, the late Cicely Tyson and many more. People couldn’t get over the fact that Graces’ wig kept slipping backwards. The synopsis was about a woman that was indicted for murdering her husband. But when a rookie lawyer takes her case, she believes that there might be a conspiracy at play.

Madea’s Witness Protection Only Needed to be Watched Once

The film was released in 2012, although it wasn’t extremely terrible it still wasn’t a movie that will be talked about often. The movie scored a measly 19% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Now when it comes to movies that we definitely could’ve lived without, that’s these last three…

There Are Better Christmas Movies Than A Madea Christmas

I mean let’s face it, we could’ve lived without this movie. There are far better Christmas movies than this one. Rotten Tomatoes ranked this film at 21% while the audience gave it a 70%. The film created great laughs, but overall it will not be a film that people will talk about years from now.

Tyler Perry’s Boo & Boo2 – Not Scaring A Soul!

I don’t even think there is much to say about these two films. Many people found Boo2 to be even harder to watch than the original Boo, which I can agree. It wasn’t a scary movie not that we would think it would be. The character Aunt Bam, made the film incredibly funny alongside Madea. Both of these films scored less than 20% on Rotten Tomatoes. Boo scored a 19% while Boo2 scored 5%. You can bet there will not be many people going back to watch these movies.

Tyler Perry movies aren’t all bad either. Although people will continue to complain about the story lines and the wigs when it comes to his movies, people will still pay money to watch them in theaters and will definitely stream them to record numbers. How else do you think Tyler Perry became a billionaire?
