Nia Long’s first onscreen appearance began on an episode in ‘227’ in 1986. From there, her career skyrocketed as she slowly began making a name for herself in films such as Boyz N the Hood and appearances in television shows such as ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.’

Another great film that left the best impression for Nia Long. At this point her star was quickly rising as many knew her because she was seen in ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ along with ‘Living Single.’
5. Love Jones (1997)
If don’t know Love Jones, then where have you been? This movie was for the romantics, the ones that still believe in love. She was Darius’ Nina.
6. Soul Food (1997)
This film will lead you to tears but also to laughter. An amazing film for the family, especially during the holiday seasons.
7. In Too Deep (1999)
By the time we get to 1999, Nia Long is “that” girl. She had created a fanbase like no other and had been in multiple tv shows as well. And this was just one of her big roles that year.
8. The Best Man (1999)
Known as Jordan Armstrong, Nia Long conquered this role. She gave a new meaning to independent black women.
She of course revisited the role again in The Best Man Holiday, The Best Man Wedding, and most recently in the Peacock series, ‘The Best Man: The Final Chapters’. Fans are still hoping for me from the ensemble cast!
9. Big Momma’s House (2000)
Working with Martin Lawrence in this 2000 film. Big Momma’s House was a hit that year!
10. Are We There Yet? (2005)
This wasn’t the first film that Nia Long and Ice Cube worked together on. But it was another memorable moment for the both of them.
11. Roxanne Roxanne (2017)
This film had many fans raving about Nia Long’s performance. Based on the true story of Roxanne Shante, Nia Long played her role well as a young Roxanne’s mother.
12. Fatal Affair (2020)
During the COVID-19, movies and television was a big part of everyone’s lives. This film created a lot of buzz.
13. Missing (2023)
This particular film floated around social media for awhile. It became a fan favorite of 2023.
