Hip-hop artist Busta Rhymes is facing legal troubles for allegedly assault charges filed against him by his assistant following a physical fight
On 10 Jan 2025, Busta Rhymes allegedly got into a physical fight with his assistant, which brewed from a disagreement that occurred between him and the defendant that morning.
The incident initially started as a disagreement but quickly escalated into a physical fight. TMZ reported identifying the victim of the assault by the rapper as his assistant. The rapper’s assistant is said to be a man in his fifties.
Busta ends up throwing his fist on the left side of his assistant’s face, coming as a shock to his assistant. His assistant called the police for help. This led to the rapper, who seemed to realize his actions, immediately leaving the venue.
Shortly after, help arrived at the scene of the incident in Brooklyn. The assistant was in a condition that needed medical attention. Following the arrival of the paramedics, he was eventually admitted to the hospital.
An update was later shared on Tuesday 14, 2025, regarding the incident. The rapper was said to have turned himself into the police despite earlier fleeing the scene after the incident transpired.
Busta Rhymes’ assistant is charging the rapper to court. The charges filed against him include attempted assault, harassment, and misdemeanor assault.
