Former NBA star Iman Shumpert and singer-actress Teyana Taylor may have settled their divorce. The alleged Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert divorce settlement began floating online on on Wednesday (3/12) afternoon.
The relationship, which for years was highlighted as one of the more inspiring Black Love stories, began in 2011 after the pair meet at a party in New York. The two hit it off, but nothing became official until 2013. Around that time, Taylor helped care for Shumpert after a knee surgery.
By 2015, the two had a baby shower at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland, where they announced their engagement. At the time, Shumpert played for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The couple, who remained together for about 7 years, split back in 2023, with Taylor confirming then that infidelity had nothing to do with it.
Still, they engaged in a court battle over parenting plans and child support. The alleged Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert divorce seems to be final now.
After the ruling of the judge, Iman Shumpert is rumored to be accountable for a one-time seven-figure payment to Teyana Taylor. Furthermore, Taylor is said to retain four martial properties valued essentially at 10 million. Although this is the case Shumpert will also keep a condo in Miami and properties in Georgia and Decatur.
The couple’s business ventures are also included in the settlement with Teyana Taylor continuing with her Taylormade and Auntie’s companies, while Shumpert retains his undisclosed investments.
Additionally, Shumpert is required to pay $8,000 per month in child support. Aside from these changes, both parties have kept most of their other personal assets. Both of the names involved in this divorce are big names causing many rumors to spread around. Teyana Taylor has even previously mentioned that there have been misleading reports about their divorce.
Although both sides are getting scrutinized it appears they have reached an agreement that helps them co-parent.
