5 Best Cities for a Girls Trip

Nashville, TN

Nashville has recently become the bridal shower capital of the world because of all it has to offer. Now, some may think of it as just a country music town, but it has become so much more. It has a great food scene, and the nightlife can’t be beat. The Real Housewives of Atlanta just filmed there recently, and the ladies look like they had a blast. And it’s affordable.  While you’re there, stop by the National Museum of African American Music.  It’s a one of a kind experience and it is a great time.

New Orleans, LA

New Orleans has great music, a bar and club scene, and the food alone is enough reason to visit. One afternoon, you and your friends can scroll through Jackson Square and take a riverboat cruise, and the next morning, enjoy a jazz brunch at one of New Orleans’ famous restaurants. One can’t go to New Orleans and not hit Bourbon Street, but our advice is to go when it’s not too crowded or hot. Another piece of advice: make reservations. A lot of the best restaurants in the city require that you book a reservation even before you arrive in the city. And if you make it out there for Essence Festival 2025, or any year for that matter, it’s an added bonus!

Las Vegas

Vegas has always been a party town, and it’s great for any girl’s trip because it offers excellent food, a great gambling scene, and many great shows.  We previously spotlighted it in our Las Vegas beginner’s guide. You can take your girlfriends to a great concert or a male revue the same night and in between, hit the casinos. Everyone can have a good time, but like New Orleans, you probably want to come to Vegas when it’s not 200 degrees outside. Also, there are plenty of deals out there for hotel rooms that are reasonably priced.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

If you want a more laid-back vacation, why not consider Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic? Punta Cana is becoming a very popular vacation spot because of its beaches, luxurious resorts, and vibrant nightlife. There is plenty to do around the island if you are up for more than just relaxing at your hotel or resort, like ATVing, taking cave explorations, or snorkeling off the coast of Punta Cana’s sandy white beaches. You’ll need a passport, of course, but after that, you and your girlfriend’s will be set.

Miami

Miami is another great hot spot. It has great beaches, great food, and great nightlife. Miami gives you a Caribbean vibe stateside. It has all the things that Punta Cana has, but you don’t need a passport or visa to enjoy it. Of course, the most popular spot in Miami is South Beach, which may have the best nightlife out of all the cities on this list. It’s also great for those of you who are just looking for a quick, relaxing weekend getaway. It’s the perfect winter escape.   But, Miami might be the most expensive city on this list.  The tax is a but hefty.
