Artificial intelligence, also known as AI, has been met with skepticism by the music industry. However, 50 Cent appears to be advocating for AI-generated songs, even embracing the technology on some of his own music, which raises questions about the future of music and its relationship with AI.

According to Fif, adopting AI should be used to help artists express themselves. 50 Cent is attempting to redefine the perception of artists utilizing generative AI in the music industry.

50 Cent Uses AI to Generate Songs

The rapper recently made an AI generate a remix of his music, including the songs, “21 Questions” and “God Gave Me Style.” Fans praised his ability to transform the songs, adding that it was a smooth remix of his ’90s hip-hop anthems. 50 Cent believes that AI is here to stay and can be utilized as a tool rather than viewed in a negative light. He recently shared, “I don’t like fighting fights that I can’t win, I don’t think you can beat AI.”

Gunna also reaffirmed in an interview with Uproxx saying, “I gotta sign me an AI artist, fast. Get with ’em, you can’t beat ’em.”

Why 50 Cent’s Embrace of AI Matters

50 Cent’s use of artificial intelligence to generate songs might have produced mixed reactions, but he considers it a tool that can be used to push creativity to a new level.

He believes that the future of the music industry can be improved once people learn to work well with AI. He added, “I think we need to look at how we create businesses that work well with it and performs faster and progresses as [AI] progresses because it’s not gonna stop progress.” Rather than compete with it, he sees it as an opportunity.

“I don’t know where AI get these voices from, but these are some good voices! If these guys came out in that time period, they would have been competition for the guys that were there,” he added.

50 Cent admires that AI-generated songs were able to mimic the artist’s voice yet sound so good. He is encouraging artists to seize control, as it can generate fresh interpretations. Additionally, it can be cost-effective for artists in terms of studio costs.

While other artists are concerned about their intellectual property, such as AI copying their voices, 50 Cent is fascinated and intends to utilize it in future releases. He said, “I’m going to use AI on all my unreleased songs and see what I got for ya!”

Other Celebrities Embrace AI in Generating Music

There are numerous controversies surrounding AI-generated music, with both positive and negative comments.

Music producer Timbaland has openly embraced the use of AI, creating a new genre of music that combines human creativity with artificial intelligence, called A-pop (Artificial Intelligence pop). He also signed the first “AI artist”, TaTa, and shared the name of his new label, Stage Zero.

In addition, Will.i.am, who owns a tech company, also supports AI in creating “Verzuz” battles. Will.i.am shared, “I like to see them n****s battle. And if they don’t wanna battle in person, someone is going to get an AI simulator that takes all their body of work and all their concerts and flows and you’ll see exactly who’s doper.”

AI has been positively used by The Beatles in 2023 to separate John Lennon’s voice from a piano on a 1970s demo tape.

In another statement, Will.i.am added that we will see more AI-generated music in the industry and even AI artists. “This next five years is gonna be so transformational. We compete with humans right now. In 2030, it’s gonna be full-on AI artists that produce it, write it, and star in the videos,” he lamented.

AI Artists in 2025

Aside from Tata other AI artists include R&B gospel artist Xania Monet, rapper FN Meka, and Travis $cott parody artist Travisbott. Xania Monet has gained success as an R&B gospel artist created by Talisha Jones, who owns, writes, and manages the persona.
