Chris Rock is back after a three-year break from movies and is ready to serve you with a new drama titled Misty Green, distributed by A24. Following the announcement of the trailer, the cast of Misty Green has joined Chris Rock in promoting the movie while promising an amazing onscreen performance.
Synopsis
Misty Green centres around a driven woman with a dream to be a top actress recognised for her skills, but she is haunted by her past. Her acting career seems to be on hold, but she is trying to conquer these challenges, whether they are professional or personal. Will she get a second chance in Hollywood?

Apart from being the scriptwriter and director, Rock is back as an actor after over three years’ hiatus from movies. The movie will premiere first at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Afterwards, it is scheduled to head to the theatres for your viewing in October.
Other production credits go to Peter Rice, David Worthen Brooks, James Lopez, and Tommy Oliver for Macro Film Studios and Confluential Films. Kira Kelly is credited for cinematography, while Adam Dicterow is credited for editing.
Meet the cast of Misty Green on A24, Directed by Chris Rock
Chris Rock as Jordan
Not only will Chris Rock appear as a director, but through this film, he will also showcase his multi-talented skills and passion for art. This will be his first appearance in a movie since 2023, when he played the character Roy Wilkins in Rustin. He has been active in the industry, appearing in comedy shows and series. Most importantly, being the voice behind many characters in animated movies such as The Simpsons, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, and Goodnight Lamby.
The Brooklyn native will play Jordan, a softie for Misty based on romantic interest, with high societal standing and a desire to help her take off in her acting career.
Rosalind Eleazar as Misty Green
Eleazar plays yet another major role in this epic film. Similar to Chris Rock, she is having a very busy year. Following her just-concluded project for the role of Trish in Frank & Louis, earning a nomination for the Prix du public UBS at the Locarno Film Festival 2026.
She is currently working on Slow Horses as the character “Louisa Guy”, a TV series that has been running since 2022.
Daniel Kaluuya as Misty’s Brother
Casted as Misty’s brother, Kaluuya plays a vital role. Amidst her troubles, she has to deal with her brother, who appears not to have his act together.
Kaluuya is best remembered for his great acting skills in Oscar-nominated Get Out, Black Panther, and Judas and the Black Messiah in the same year. He holds the record for the youngest Black actor to have received two Oscar nominations and the first Black British actor to win an Academy Award.
Anna Kendrick as a supporting role
Kendrick sealed her name with roles like Up in the Air, Pitch Perfect, and A Simple Favor. She has been in over 60 projects in her career, including voice acting and appearances in movies and series.
Her role in Misty Green will be her first for 2026. In addition, she is working on other projects set to air this year, like Babies, where she plays “Annie”, and Embassy, playing “Layla”.
Adam Driver as Misty’s lover
Driver acts as another one of Misty’s romantic interests. He has four nominations for the Academy Award for Marriage Story, BlacKkKlansman, Star Wars, and Ferrari.
