DJ Akademiks is facing serious accusations following a new lawsuit filed against him accusing him of rape and sexual assault.

On May 14, the news of a lawsuit filed by a woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, details a horrifying alleged incident of sexual assault and rape. According to the lawsuit, the survivor and Akademiks, who had a brief online interaction followed by a short-lived relationship in 2021, reconnected after a year of no contact.

Akademiks reportedly invited the survivor to his New Jersey residence. The lawsuit goes on to detail disturbing allegations that two other men were present and, according to the survivor, drugged her on Akademiks’ property.

The survivor alleges regaining consciousness later that night, around 4:00 AM, to find Akademiks assaulting her. She further claims to have witnessed video surveillance footage of the assault presented by Akademiks himself.

Further, the lawsuit states that Akademiks suggested they both get tested for sexually transmitted infections after the incident. The survivor also alleges that she underwent a medical examination following the assault and secured an audio recording of Akademiks discussing the incident, as instructed by law enforcement officials.

The lawsuit also details a 2023 livestream where Akademiks reportedly addressed the incident, implying the survivor consensually participated in a sexual encounter with his friends, but not himself. This alleged public misrepresentation forms the basis of the defamation claim.

The reason the plaintiff is showing up now is to seek justice. This legal action seeks justice and accountability for the alleged crimes.
