New Details Emerge For Forthcoming Ledisi Let Love Rule Album

Fresh off a hot performance at BET’s Black Girls Rock, R&B singer Ledisi is slated to release her latest album, Let Love Rule on September 22, 2017.

Her lead single, “High”, is currently sitting in the 10 spot on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart. It’s a perfect blend of today’s current R&B sound with properly placed horn licks to give it a classic big band feel.

The follow-up single, the buzzing, “Add To Me” was revealed last month.  It sets the tone for what looks to be an impressive 8th album from the songstress.  Check out the track below:

Ledisi’s ninth-studio album, Let Love Rule is a 15 track project with features from R&B crooners John Legend and BJ the Chicago Kid. It also contains interludes from Iyanla Vanzant and Soledad O’Brien. Ledisi has been recording this album for almost two years. As far as the lengthy process, Ledisi told Billboard in an exclusive interview, “We were looking for songs that could stand the test of time. This wasn’t a quickie; it was about great songwriting. I’ve come back to what I love about R&B and also what I love about today’s music.”

Ledisi recently announced a co-headline tour with Kirk Franklin.  The Rebel, The Soul & The Saint Tour launches in late October.  More details here.
