Wyclef Jean has followed through on his promise to release his new full length album, the third installment of his Carnival series. The new album, Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of A Refugee was released on September 15th, just seven months after the release of his J’ouvert EP.  Carnival III is Wyclef’s eighth solo album.

Back in February, Wyclef promised us in an interview that Carnival III would be out later this year.  “We gonna classic it up,” Clef assured. “But you know we gonna kompa it up seriously at the end of that. All you gotta do is listen to “Lady Haiti” on J’ouvert and it’s like okay he back on his bullshit!”

In June, Wyclef revealed his first single from the album, “Fela Kuti”.  The funky single has generated a nice buzz, but the second single “What Happened To Love?” has really been hitting.
