The Diplomats are back again like they never left. The famous Harlem based rap group has dropped a new track and the group’s first since 2015.  The new song is called “Once Upon a Time” with verses from Cam’ron and Jim Jones, as well as production by the Heatmakerz.

The two members of the group raps give you the classic Dipset sound over the soul sampled beat. The boastful track has Jim rapping about his normal life as a capo while Killa Cam gives you the witty and clever raps we love to hear from him. They even spoke on the habitual sexual abuser Harvey Weinstein and his incident with Dame Dash. In the Track Cam raps, “ No disrespecting the ladies, word from my team,That’s the reason Dame smacked Harvey Weinstein (pervert), On the set of Paid In Full, y’all gave him hell about it, some foul shit happened once, Capo, tell ’em about it.”

Dipset was founded in 1999 by Cam’ron and Jim Jones. Since then the group has had it’s highs and lows. The group even developed an inner squad beef having Jim and Cam take shots at each other for years. Recently they had a tearful Jim Jones in a Hot 97 Funk Flex interview explaining the situation between him and the group, with Cam’ron coming back to mock Jim for the interview. Yet, with this song we know the past is the past.

The Diplomats have an upcoming show with another Harlem group, A$AP Mob, this month. Cam’ron also has a new project out called The Program, which is only a mixtape. You get the funny, ignorant, New Yorker, and perspective Cam all in this mixtape.
