25-year-old American rapper Chika made rounds on the internet over a series of posts that hints at her deciding to end her life. The rapper in recent times has expressed how much she has been struggling with her mental health. Last year in April, she announced that she was retiring because of the ‘mental toll’ the music industry is taking on her. Her retirement announcement was met with hateful comments by online bullies in which she replied ‘it’s really cool watching the world not give a fuck and paint you as a villain…’ Fellow rapper Cardi B responded to her then tweets advising her not to allow people to dictate her life and future.

The Grammy-nominated rapper took to her Instagram story on Saturday, March 26 to post a now-deleted lengthy note that suggests she was going to commit suicide. The potential Chika suicide note worried fans.
“I went to the top of the intercontinental, not because I don’t want to, but because the metal steps were scary, that’s the thing about having a fucked up brain, no matter how much pain you are in, there will always be something to hold you back. It’s draining & sad. It looks like crying wolf, but it’s not. It’s just difficult to find the right way. The quickest way. The painless way. I am tired of myself too…” She continues by saying she doesn’t need anyone’s forgiveness asides from her best friend, Cole, and her immediate family.
“No more typing. I’m going to finish my drink and find a way that works. Thanks for the ride, I hated it,” She ends.
She also shared concerning posts on her Instagram story, one with a picture of part of her face showing and the words “I’m not making it home written over it. She followed up in the next posts saying “Find my body in St. Paul IDGAF” and “Madison actually, hope ur happy”
A lot of people, especially on social media have shown concern and care towards the rapper and hope that she is reached before something terrible happens. Although it’s unclear where she is at the moment, according to TMZ, police have been to her North Hollywood apartment to conduct a welfare check but didn’t find her home.
