Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka began trending almost innocently enough on Wednesday evening. A report emerged via sports journalist, Adrian Wojnarowski or simply Woj, that Udoka, the coach of the Boston Celtics, might face a suspension going into this coming season. Not long after more details appeared to emerge including a leak that Ime Udoka cheated on Nia Long, his fiancée since 2015, and the mother of his child, with a staff member of the Celtics.

Udoka coached the Boston Celtics in this year’s NBA Finals and Nia Long was present at almost every playoff game supporting her man, sometimes along with their son. For many fans, that was the introduction that the two were a couple, despite them having been together for over a decade. The couple have been linked since at least 2010 with Nia Long giving birth to their son Kez Sunday Udoka in 2011.

While the rumors continue to swirl that Ime Udoka cheated on Nia Long, there have yet to be actual confirmations. This will continue to play out over the next couple of days, but if Udoka is actually suspended by the Celtics, there will be more information unveiled. Woj is one of the premiere sources of NBA news. He wouldn’t have tweeted this information out if it weren’t completely solid. But the fact that he didn’t provide any details for reasoning of the suspension means that the cheating rumors may just be rumors. At least that’s what we hope.

However, another journalist, Shams of The Athletic did provide more details from his sources.
