Recent events are still being linked to the terrible murder of beloved rapper Pop Smoke years after it occurred.  On July 31, one week prior, a barrel containing the corpse of Javonnta Murphy washed up on a Malibu beach. Jaquan Murphy’s brother Javonnta, also known as Sirtanky, is a rap artist from Los Angeles.  The Javonnta Murphy murder has an interesting connection of Pop Smoke.

This is essential since Jaquan is one of the suspects who has been detained in connection with Pop Smoke’s murder from several years ago. Javonnta was initially arrested as well, but released after questioning.

According to reports, the area’s authorities are currently looking into Javonnta’s death to see if there was any retaliation to the fatal shooting of the once-promising New York Hip-Hop star.

The LA County Sheriff’s Department is looking into a wide range of theories, one of which is that Pop Smoke’s death was the motivation behind Javonnta’s murder. But they are currently investigating other possibilities because they lack the necessary proof to support it.

Javonnta Murphy Pop Smoke Connection

The attempted murder accusation against 24-year-old Jaquan is presently pending. He is presently on trial for a homicide unconnected to Smoke’s passing in a Los Angeles court.

In July 2020, four further persons were detained in relation to the “DIOR”‘ hitmaker’s slaying.

Keandre Rodgers, Corey Walker, and Jaquan were all charged with murder and might all receive the death penalty. One count of robbery and a homicide charge were brought against two additional suspects, both of whom are minors.

One of the young suspects, who is 20 years of age now, entered a guilty plea in juvenile court in April.

He acknowledged breaking into the late rapper’s Hollywood Hills estate as a teenager in February 2020 in an effort to rob him; the victim was tragically shot while fending off the attackers.

He was given a prison term of four years, two months in a secure youth treatment center.
