Lloyd Gets New Record Deal and Acting role

Lloyd recently signed a deal with Interscope Records to release his next album. After Lloyd appeared in the Young Money video for “Bedrock” everyone assumed that he was signing to Young Money, but we were wrong! Lloyd had Young money/Cash Money as his first pick to sign with, but Young Money/Cash Money is under Universal Motown and that is the same record label Lloyd was under when he made his last two albums “Lessons In Love” and “Street Love”. Lloyd tried to sign with Young Money without having to sign to Universal, but that didn’t work out so Interscope was his second choice.

Lloyd has also found his way in the acting world. Lloyd will be starring in a play called “When The Lights Go Out” written and directed by Alvin Moore Jr. The play is basically about a family that loses their way from each other but through the power of love and faith they regain that family bond. “When The Light Go Out” also showcases actors like Wendy Raquel Robinson (from the Steve Harvey show), Keith Robinson (from Dreamgirls), Clifton Powell ( from Ray) .

When The Lights Go Out will be available on DVD on March 23, 2010
