Lloyd Interscope Records DealLloyd When The Lights Go OutLloyd’s Interscope Records deal, which he recently signed, pretty much guarantees the release of his next album. After Lloyd appeared in the Young Money video for “Bedrock,” everyone assumed that he was signing to Young Money, but we were wrong! Lloyd had Young Money/Cash Money as his first pick to sign with, but Young Money/Cash Money is under Universal Motown and that is the same record label Lloyd was under when he made his last two albums, Lessons In Love and Street Love. Lloyd tried to sign with Young Money without having to sign to Universal, but that didn’t work out so Interscope was his second choice. Only time will tell whether this Lloyd-Interscope Records deal will pan out better than if he signed with Young Money/Cash Money.

Lloyd has also made his way into the acting world. Fans can find Lloyd in When The Lights Go Out, written and directed by Alvin Moore Jr. The play is basically about a family that loses their way from each other but through the power of love and faith they regain that family bond.

Along with Lloyd, When The Light Go Out also showcases actors like Wendy Raquel Robinson (from The Steve Harvey Show), Keith Robinson (from Dreamgirls), and Clifton Powell (from Ray).

When The Lights Go Out will be available on DVD on March 23, 2010
