Fans braved the cold to watch Mariah Carey perform for this year’s Rockefeller Center’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. The taping took place at Rockefeller Center’s ice skating rink on Friday, November 19th 2010. The now pregnant Carey sang her latest hit song “Oh Santa” from her new Holiday album, Merry Christmas II You. The first week sales were successful and the album debuted as the #1 Billboard R & B album and was also #1 on the Holiday album charts.
The mommy-to-be had a beautiful glow as she graciously accepted the warm welcome from her adoring fans. She recently thanked all of the fans via her Twitter page, for coming out in the cold to see her performance. The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will air live on NBC on November 30th, 2010. The show will include Carey’s taped performance, as well as performances from Annie Lennox, Sheryl Crow, Susan Boyle and others.
