Kedasings a-k-a Makeda Hill is an Independent R & B Recording Artist, Songwriter, Producer and Performer. KedaSings released her first album on March 11, 2011, titled I’m Like That!  She served as the writer, co-producer, and an Executive Producer for her album.

As early as age 5, KedaSings knew she wanted to be a singer and it was then that she expressed to her mother, “I want to be a singer when I grow up”.  At age 10, parents recognized her passion and talent for singing and encouraged KedaSings to audition for a performing arts middle school.  She was accepted into the middle school and participated in chorus and dramatic arts.  To hone her skills and be exposed to a variety of music, her parents enrolled her in voice lessons at age 12, where she had the opportunity to learn Broadway/musical theatre and classical/opera.  At age 14, she was accepted into a performing arts school as a Classical Vocalist major; but R & B continued to be her first love.  She continued voice lessons outside of school, participated in musical theatre plays, and began writing her own R & B songs.  After two years attending the performing arts school, she transferred to a regular High School to pursue her music career as an R & B artist and she’s been soaring ever since.

This young inspiration is not only in love with making music, but she’s also in love with helping other young people. KedaSings has launched an “I’m Like That” project (titled after her Freshman album), which she will begin to travel nationally speaking to kids and teens on self-confidence, anti-bullying, and staying in school.  She saw this as a need, wanted to take part in helping, and decided that now is the right time.  She said that her priorities with this project are to encourage kids and teens to love themselves for who they are, to accept the unique beauty God graced them with, and to discourage bullying in schools and provide them with the proper tools of handling and speaking against bullying without being afraid.  The goal is to empower them socially and mentally in knowing they are ‘Like That’!

KedaSings is smart, has a creative mind, and a little shy by nature, but she is confident and blossoms when performing and talking about her music. She’s a humbled person at heart and acknowledges God in all that she does, expressing, “I do all things through Him” This young phenomena is definitely Like That!
