Legendary female R&B group En Vogue played to a packed house on Friday (November 16) at New York City’s B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. Cindy Herron-Braggs and Terry Ellis along with En Vogue’s newest member Rhona Bennett , opened the show with a high energy medley of classic soul cover songs. They lit up the stage with their own renditions of hit songs like La Belle’s “Lady Marmalade”, Cheryl Lynn’s “Got to Be Real” and Anita Ward’s “Ring My Bell”. Paying further homage to other female singers that inspired them, En Vogue performed the classic version of the Andrews’ Sisters “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”.

En Vogue showcased their own catalog of hits performing songs like “Don’t Let Go”, “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)” and “Hold On”. During the show, the ladies took a moment to show appreciation to the New York City fans for playing a major role in the group’s success. En Vogue’s breakout 90’s single, “Hold On” was well received in New York City and became an instant hit. Radio requests and record sales were so successful that it helped to propel the group’s popularity.  For over 20 years, En Vogue has maintained their signature style of class, elegance and sex appeal.

Recently, En Vogue underwent a shift in dynamics as two of the original members have chosen to disband from the group. Maxine Jones and Dawn Robinson are working on a music project together as a duo called “Heirs” to the Throne. They are taking a unique approach to their music careers by going independent. “You go straight to the people and they tell you if they like it or not. They buy it directly from you through a Paypal account put it on your page and it’s done”, said Robinson in a recent interview with Cocoa Cure.

Meanwhile, the remaining members of En Vogue continue to tour venues domestically and abroad. To experience a stellar performance of powerful, harmonized vocals check out En Vogue’s tour information at the following link:
