Jay Z Addresses Lemonade Rumors Briefly  & Pays Respect To Prince

Jay z addresses Lemonade rumors, doing his part to fan the flames of the gossip blog.

It’s no secret that Jay Z and his Mrs. keep a tight lip on their business, personal, or otherwise. Time and time again, they prove that silence is golden and allow their music to speak for itself.
On April 23rd, Ms. Yonce shook the world with a surprise visual for her album, Lemonade and sung lyrics strong enough to make you catch a case—or two. As you lend your ears to “Don’t Hurt Yourself”, you can hear her threatening to leave her marriage as she ends the track with, “You try this sh-t again, you gon’ lose your wife…”.

Also, songs like “Sorry”,  will have you searching for a Becky with the good hair or debating your sanity over jealousy on “Hold Up”.

This time around, Jay chimes in with clever rhymes as he joins Fat Joe, French Montana, and Remy Ma on the new “All The Way Up” remix where he dismisses any chatter of a dissolving marriage: “You know you made it when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions; lemonade is a popular drink and it still is…”

This does nothing to calm the speculation that Jay Z and Beyoncé will be dropping a joint album later this year.  Or maybe Jay will drop his response album first.

Mr. Carter also managed to slip in a message about the catalogue of the late great Prince, ensuring that his material was placed in good hands with Tidal: “Prince left his masters where they safe and sound/ we never gonna let the elevator take him down.”

It could be speculated that the line also referenced the infamous Solange-gate back in 2014.
