Meet The Mother Of Nick Cannon’s Unborn Baby, Brittany Bell
Nick Cannon has another precious bundle of joy on the way. As you may know, last month, Us Weekly reported that the 36-year-old, Wild ‘n Out creator was allegedly expecting a child with his recent ex-girlfriend. It’s since been confirmed that Cannon’s ex is now a six months going on seven months pregnant, Brittany Bell.
It is said that Cannon had been in an on-and-off relationship with Bell for a while after his divorce finalized with Mariah Carey. The comedic actor and rapper recently released a song with singer K. Michelle, called, “Baby On The Way”, furthering the suspicion that he had a baby on the way, but, in a recent interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, Nick Cannon officially put our wonders to rest and officially announced that Brittany Bell—in fact, is carrying his child.
“I got a baby on the way, absolutely. God said be fruitful and multiply. I’m doing the Lord’s work out there,” Nick said. in his usual joking manner. It seems that even though the two are apart, Cannon still holds Bell to the highest regard. In the interview, he referred to her as a ‘special young lady’.
“I don’t have any exes,” Cannon assured. “Mariah [Carey] is my last ex. Everybody else is just people that I know, love, and care for.”
We are happy to hear the exciting news, but even more happy for the mom-to-be. Here’s a brief introduction to the woman we now know as ‘Nick Cannon’s baby mama’, the beautiful Miss. Brittany Bell.
Brittany Mesa Bell entered the world on November 9th, 1987, and was raised in Arizona. Bell comes from a multicultural background. Her mother is of Chamorro (Guamanian) heritage, while her father is a mix of Native American, West Indian, and African American.
As a youngster, the 29-year-old knew right off that whatever she did, she wanted to be seen; she wanted to be heard. With her desire for speaking in front of the big screens also came gracing the runways, cheesing for the camera, and a love for dancing.
After graduating high school, Bell went on to attend the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University, at the tender age of seventeen. While pursuing her degree in Broadcast Journalism, within the first year, she became an NBA dancer for the Phoenix Suns, taking her dance skills to the ball court for three consecutive years (2006-2009).
Aside from traveling as an NBA dancer for the Phoenix Suns and performing at All-Star weekend events and games all across the world, Bell also served as a lead anchor for Arizona State’s Cronkite NewsWatch television broadcast station. Her premature knowledge in broadcasting led her to occasionally hosting in-game promotional broadcasts for the Phoenix Suns. But, her notable, alluring looks stood out to many throughout her time as a dancer. She soon found herself being the centerfold of the first issue of Phoenix Suns Dancer calendar. Bell was, too, righteously chosen as the female ring bearer of the 2009 Olympic Gold medal rings, presented alongside Jerry Coangelo to the US Olympic basketball team.
Soon after, Bell decided to turn her dancing career into a modeling career. She graduated with her degree in Broadcast Journalism and wasted no time getting work in the modeling world. Not letting her degree go lacking, Bell also did TV hosting as well; it was time for her to hit the big screen. TV hostings, magazine shoots, catalog and billboard placements, Bell was juggling both being an aspiring model and a broadcaster.
The following year, in 2010, she competed for the ‘Miss Arizona USA 2010’ title and ended up winning, along with being awarded “Miss Congeniality”. Overwhelmed with joy and happiness, Bell chose to express herself through philanthropic work. She vocalizes the importance of education and thrives on leading by example.
Putting her pageant crown down, Bell began working with Bollywood Step Dance, training in the Indian Fusion Dance. She then received the opportunity to perform for Disney’s GlowFest. Her perseverance found her wanting to help others along the way. Having great experience in the pageant world, Bell embarked on prepping and coaching the contestants of the Mrs. Asia USA 2011 pageant.
Since then, the Arizona-grown, entertainer has broadened her horizons. Aside from being the face of Arizona and a model-dancer, the 29-year-old embarked on other endeavors. Putting her business and marketing skills in effect, back in 2013, Bell co-founded a makeup line, called, BeBlushed. The line specialized in developing premium beauty cosmetics. Furthering her hand in the beauty industry, Bell also became a beauty writer for Revere Magazine. Still, the grind didn’t stop there.
She was previously seen on Fox Sports Network, as a Royal Flush Girl on the World Poker Tour, and in web episodes of westla2day.com and Westfield Buzz TV. Her drive and desire for success led her to becoming the ultimate multifaceted woman, dabbling into the acting and philanthropic world full force. Brittany Bell is the epitome of a ‘go-getter’.
As the co-founder of the Give A Kiss Foundation, she started a campaign, which involved fundraising for the cancer benefiting non-profit, Face in the Mirror. Though Bell’s aspiration for inspiration has never ceased, she is currently focusing on her new journey as a mommy-to-be, while she resides in Los Angeles, California.
Brittany Bell recently threw a ‘sweet celebration’, celebrating the soon come birth of her forthcoming baby arrival with her girlfriends. However, when she’s not popping grape juice and having girl time with her friends, Bell enjoys traveling and visiting her home country, Guam, practicing her rapping skills, and making others laugh at her seemingly funny jokes and bubbly personality. She is now getting into the holiday spirit and preparing for the new year.
Over 20k followers on both Twitter and Instagram, combined, Bell continues to use her platform to encourage, uplift, and fulfill God’s purpose.
All in all, greater things are definitely to come in 2017 for Miss. Brittany Bell—and a little one happens to be one of them.
