[LISTEN] Wale Glorifies Black Women In Hollywood & Beyond On “Black Is Gold”

Wale is in full promo mode for his upcoming album SHINE.  While it’s still unclear when the album will hit stores, it appears more and more unlikely that the album will be released before the year is out as originally promised.  Still, with an official single “My PYT” still buzzing, Wale has some new music for us with the buzz track, “Black Is Gold”.

“Black Is Gold” samples D’Angelo’s “Lady” and salutes Black women in Hollywood and beyond.  In true Wale form the song is empowering, yet lyrical.

Listen to Wale “Black Is Gold”‘ Below:

Earlier this year Wale announced two new album projects for 2016.  It hasn’t quite panned out for Folarin.  With MMG failing to captivate audiences as they once did, the crew has yet to officially announce the release date of the Self Made 4.  The Boss, Rick Ross saw lackluster sales for his Black Market album, which was released in December of last year and Meek Mill earned mild to mixed reviews for his DC4 mixtape.

Wale’s Summer mixtape, Summer on Sunset did receive some plays, but in a year with so much music, it was quickly forgotten.

Are You Feeling This Wale Record?  Are you excited for SHINE???
