There Are A Few Kanye West Surprises Coming In 2017
2017 is certainly going to be an interesting year for music. Kanye West released his seventh studio album The Life of Pablo last year, which has since been nominated for a Grammy. But the artist himself has lived an interesting last few months. Since he’s gotten out of the hospital for some mental health concerns, he’s been back to work in the studio, as far as we can tell. Kanye was even in the studio cooking with Pete Rock. New music with Pete Rock is just one of the upcoming Kanye West surprises in the works.

E! News tells us Kanye has a lot planned for 2017, possibly a lot more than just new music. According to a source, West has a couple of secret projects that he plans to unleash in the next several months.
“Kanye has a few surprise projects coming up that involves music and concerts in the spring and summer,” their source shared. “Plus he is working on his fashion line and some collaborations.”
It’s no surprise he is continuing to work on his fashion line. As for the music, there are a couple of possibilities. For one, there was already this list of video games that Kanye allegedly had written down when he was in the studio with Pete. These titles, which seem to look like a track listing, could be the beginnings of Kanye West’s next solo album, Turbo Grafx 16.

Then there is the fact that Kanye and Drake have been confirmed to be working on a joint project together. The project does not have a release date and it may or may not be called Calabasas Is The New Abu Dhabi.
“We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio,” Kanye told Vogue last year. “We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.”
In addition, there is a G.O.O.D. Music collab album called Cruel Winter that he is supposed to be releasing. So Kanye does appear to be working on a lot, but he’s making time for everything in 2017, especially his family.
“His kids are his number one priority for him and he wants to be a good dad and make his mother proud,” the E! News insider added. “He thinks about her every day.”
