New Lil Wayne Album???? Rapper Hints Three New Projects On The Way
Even in the midst of his ongoing legal battle with Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne is focused on getting straight to the money and the music. The 34-year-old, Louisiana-bred rapper posted to his verified Facebook page yesterday, naming his three long-awaited projects, The Funeral, Tha Carter V, and Dedication 6—along with a group photo of fellow Young Money crew members and himself. New Lil Wayne album in the near future or nah?!?! At least we’re hoping so.
In April, 2016, it was confirmed that Dedication 6 was in the works. Wayne also referenced that his project The Funeral would be ‘coming soon’, during a podcast he did later in the year. Though drama surrounding Tha Carter V release sustains, Wayne and his team continues to investigate Martin Shkreli—a controversial businessman who recently claimed that he had obtained rights to Tha Carter V and leaked some of the album through Periscope. However, despite the messy situation, Wayne’s Facebook post further assures fans that it is, in fact, still on the way.
While we are not sure when or which pending project is set to release, we strongly believe that this was Wayne’s way of reminding the fans of what’s to come. The rapper performed his new song with Wale, “Running Back” on ESPN’s First Take yesterday. Of course, the internet went ballistic.
After signing LSU linebacker, Duke Riley, to his sports management company, Young Money Sports, Wayne seems to be bringing 2017 in with a bang!
