It’s A Done Deal, Jim Jones Signs To Jay Z’s ‘Roc Nation’
Jim Jones and Jay Z have both decided to bury the hatchet. After their battle, back in the early 2000s, the two New York-bred rappers have put their old beef aside to get straight to the ‘bags’–and, yes, we’re talking money. According to an Instagram photo posted by Roc Nation’s Vic Medina, Jones has officially sealed a deal with Jay Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation. Sources told TMZ that the 40-year-old rapper is on a new path for 2017, putting all previous drama behind him and focusing more on ‘smart business decisions’.
However, this definitely comes as a huge shock to many, seeing as though Jones and Hov haven’t seen eye-to-eye for over a decade. Apparently, the feud started during the Roc-A-Fella days. Jones and his Hip-Hop group, The Diplomats (Dipset) were signed to Hov’s co-owned record label–founded by Dame Dash, Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke, and Hov himself, during 2001 and 2004. As tension between the owners and the affiliated talents on the label arose, everyone soon became divided. The division caused a great rift between Jay Z and Dame Dash, Jay Z and Diplomat leader Cam’ron, and eventually Jay Z and Jim Jones. It was rumored that Jones’ bout with Hov started after he [Jones] sided with Cam’ron. But, it seems that all of that is news of the past now… for sure.
We suspected something was up, though. The ‘Ballin” rapper visited the Roc Nation’s offices back in January. “If I told you I was in the Roc Nation office, how would you feel about that? Would you think I was lying?” He states in a video clip of him in the office. He also tweeted about the visit as well

Jim Jones‘ new deal with the Nation will manage all aspects of his brand. Everything from his music and fashion to acting and more. We’re happy to know that the rappers are moving forward in a major way.
