Actor Larenz Tate Snags Recurring Role on Season Four of Power
Things are really heating up on the Starz hit crime drama, Power. Deadline reports, actor Larenz Tate is set for a recurring role on season four of the forthcoming series. The House of Lies actor will be portraying the role of a city councilman from Jamaica Queens, Councilman Rashad Tate.
In addition to Mr. Tate joining the cast, actor and comedian Charlie Murphy will also be making an appearance. There isn’t much known about Murphy’s character, Marshal Williams, as of now. However, we’re hoping as it gets closer to time, more details will develop.
Created by Courtney A. Kemp, the drama series centers around New York drug lord and nightclub owner, James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). The hour-long series depicts St. Patrick and his life as a drug kingpin and all that comes with it. Naturi Naughton portrays Hardwick’s wife, Tasha, while Joseph Sikora portrays his best friend, Tommy Egan.
Power has maintained a growing audience and success rate–becoming a Sunday night phenomenon since it first premiered back in June of 2014. The drama series continues to prevail three consecutive seasons later, gravitating viewers, episode by episode. Though there is no official date set for the brand new season; it is said to premiere this Summer. The series has been doing so well that it has already been renewed for a fifth season. We can only imagine how much heavier things will get.
Welcome aboard, Larenz Tate!
