Kelly Rowland Book, Whoa, Baby! Helps Women Prepare For What Comes After Child Birth

If you are a new mother, currently expecting or even have what most would call baby fever, then Kelly Rowland’s latest project is targeted at you. Kelly Rowland, who is a first time mother, gave birth to her adorable son Titan two years ago. She decided to write a book for women like herself, who are unaware what to expect after giving birth!  The Kelly Rowland book, which is called Whoa, Baby!: A Guide for New Moms Who Feel Overwhelmed and Freaked Out (And Wonder What the #*@& Just Happened)was released April 11, 2017 and is available in bookstores as well as online sites such as Barnes and Nobles and Amazon.

Kelly teamed up with her OB/GYN of over 10 years, Dr. Tristan Emily Bickman to write this book with hopes of providing mothers with almost every scenario possible that occurs after childbirth. She admits that the change in her midsection is what caught her off guard the most and despite it being due to pregnancy, she was still hard on herself. Rowland also opens up to say that the change in her vagina’s physically appearance wasn’t enjoyable either, despite friends telling her that her husband wouldn’t care, she admits as a woman that she does care. Between the pain when sitting down on hard wooden chairs and the pain of seeing the “bloody battlefield” as she calls it, her advice in the book to mothers who have just returned home from the hospital is to “Just leave your vagina alone!”

In her press release Kelly Rowland explains, “Dr. Bickman and I wanted to create an answer to what to expect after childbirth. No one told me what to expect physically, emotionally, or mentally. The purpose of Whoa, Baby! Is to comfort the mother and give her knowledge of what’s going on with her. We cover everything!”

The first time mother and Grammy-award winning singer makes a point to also mention the need to  juggle between tending to her career and her son. At times she says she feels guilty about spending so much time away from her son, but like many mothers, she knows she has to work. Rowland wants to be able provide her son Titan with the best life possible so he doesn’t have to worry about struggling as he gets older.
If you’ve ever wondered what happens after childbirth, the Kelly Rowland book is one that is certainly worth reading to educate yourself.

Whoa, Baby! is published by Da Capo Lifelong Books and on sale now.
