Lil Wayne Sued For Hate Crime
Lil Wayne’s decision to punch a nightclub bouncer at the 2016 BET Awards after-party is coming back to haunt him. Weezy is now being sued on the grounds that the assault was a hate crime against white people, according to TMZ.
The bouncer was working the door at the after-party, being hosted by 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. Apparently several members of Weezy’s entourage were denied entry at the door. This caused Wayne and the bouncer to get into an argument. That’s when Wayne punched him, knocking him to the ground. But that isn’t all. The suit also says Wayne then threw a drink in the bouncer’s face, yelling “F*ck you white boy!” The security guard went to a hospital for treatment, and ended up calling the police.
Wayne’s camp has denied the allegations. In fact, according to Wayne and his camp, the bouncer worked in Wayne’s VIP section all night.
Unfortunately, Lil Wayne, his label and the Hyde nightclub are being sued for damages for assault as well as battery. In addition to having a $25,000 civil penalty added on for the supposed hate crime against the bouncer.
