Mystikal Indicted In Rape And Kidnapping Case

New Orleans-based rapper Mystikal, born Michael Tyler, has been indicted by a Louisiana Grand Jury. The latest news that Mystikal is indicted in rape and kidnapping case is his second such run-in with the law for a rape allegation.

According to KSLA News 12, the indictment charges the 46-year-old with one count of first-degree rape and one count of second-degree kidnapping. The “Danger” rapper was allegedly involved in a 2016 assault that happened at a casino in Shreveport, Louisiana. Last month, he turned himself in, to the authorities, for this incident–which he said was ‘to get this business reconciled.’

Averweone Darnell Holman, 26, and Tenichia Monieck Wafford, 42, were also indicted in the same case. Holman received the same charges as Mystikal, and both men have a bond set at $3 million. As for Warrod, she is being held on a $500,000 bond and has been charged with obstruction of justice.

Mystikal may be in danger of facing time again. This isn’t the first time he’s been involved in criminal activity for a sexual crime that eventually led to jail time. In 2003, he served seven years in jail after being convicted of sexual battery and extortion charges.

This does not bode well for Mystikal who has been working on his image in hopes of making a career recovery.  Remains to be seen if he has to serve time for these charges, but his public image may already be tarnished beyond repair.
