Eminem is back with a new song called “Walk on Water” to follow up his BET Hip-Hop Awards performance. The new song, likely the lead single to his forthcoming, highly anticipated album, features the Queen, Beyoncé. This is the first ever collaboration between Eminem and Beyoncé.
The news of the song came on social media when Eminem posted an image of a prescription pad that read “‘Walk on Water’ take as needed.”
On this track Slim Shady raps about the pressure of his career and life, while Beyoncé sings, “I walk on water/ But I ain’t no Jesus/ I walk on water/ But only when it freezes/ because I’m only human just like you”.
According to an article with Billboard, it was said by Malcolm Gladwell that Jay-Z was the reason Beyoncé makes an appearance on this song. In the past Eminem has collaborated with Jay-Z and of course Rihanna.
The new album appears to be titled “Revival”, judging by recent posts on Eminem’s Instagram account. Full details are yet to be released about this new album, so Stans are going to have to patiently wait on the rapper.
