Ray J To Launch A New Electronics Brand, ‘Raycon’

Ray J is making news and it has nothing to do with reality television or celebrity drama. The R&B singer-songwriter, actor, and reality television personality has announced that he will be launching a new electronics brand, called Raycon.

The news came Thursday, November 9th, when Ray J and Cowboy Wholesale, a leading distributor of consumers electronics, based in New York City, finalized a deal for $31 million dollars. With the new partnership, Ray J takes on a full-time role in the company, as the director of marketing and global brand strategy.

Electronics have been Ray J’s recent venture since 2015 when he started his very own electronics brand, best known for popularizing the Scoot-E-Bike—a foldable, two-wheeled electric vehicle. Today, the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast member has strong faith that this new project will be a level up for his business ventures. Raycon addresses the everyday people need for new technology, with a vision that focuses on impacting electric transportation. “The world is moving towards renewable energy, and electric transportation is a big part of that. With the Raycon movement, we are going to make sure we are one of the first ones there,” said Ray J, in a recent press release.

In the partnership, Cowboy Wholesale brings a world-class management team and board of advisors, who have collectively sold over $1 billion in sales of consumer electronics with past executive experience in companies such as Sony, Coby Electronics, and Pepsi. As the exclusive distributor of Raycon products, Cowboy Wholesale has agreed to market Raycon products through its global logistics and distribution channels, including the United States, Asia, and Europe.

Raycon’s official product launch is scheduled for mid-November 2017, in time for the holidays. Be the first to check it out at www.rayconglobal.com.
