Atlanta-based Activism Groups To Protest Against Trump at Tonight’s College Football Playoff Game

If Trump thought that he was just going to pull up in Atlanta in peace, then he had another thing coming.
⠀⠀
The 71-year-old is supposed to be in attendance for the College Football Playoff National Championship game (Alabama vs. Georgia) in Atlanta tonight, but the people are absolutely not having it.

In a series of previously tweets made by Trump, he referred to the city as “horrible” and “crime-infested”. So, why would he think it would be okay roll back into town now? Who knows. We do know that he’ll probably make his way up out of there quickly, and in a hurry, when he sees what’s going on outside of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

According to Deadline, two Atlanta-based activism groups are coming together for a major protest against Trump, which will be kicking off at 6:00 p.m. EST.

A local chapter of the NAACP will be marching outside of the stadium, while Refuse Fascism ATL leads a group that will be “taking a knee against Trump” in front of the CNN Headquarters right across the way.

“Trump has made a terrible decision and is disrupting with his presence.” A representative from the NAACP chapter states. “We respect those who choose to do so, and we fully expect some groups who will be protesting outside the game.”
