R&B Group Day26 to Hit the Road in Celebration of Their 10th Anniversary
It’s been a little over a decade since Diddy first introduced the world to chart-topping R&B group Day26. However, their days on the music scene has yet to be forgotten, and, quite frankly, they never will. The guys left an unparalleled mark on the industry… one that many still love and respect to this day.
Initially known for winning MTV’s hit competition series, Making the Band 4, members Robert Curry, Brian Angel, Willie Taylor, Qwanell “Que” Mosley, and Michael McCluney made their musical debut back in 2008, with the release of their self-titled album, Day26. They then followed up with a second studio project, Forever In A Day, in spring of 2009.
But, later that year, confusion arose as Mosley was allegedly dropped from the group. Regardless, the quintet still kept it pushing for another three years before they all mutually decided to disband for awhile.
Now, after a brief stint in 2014 and their recently-released single, “4 Shots,” Day26 is back to celebrate their tenth anniversary, with a forthcoming album in the works and a 15-city tour run.
“We are singing from a different place now. We are singing from a place of men who have been places and done things,” Willie Taylor told PEOPLE. “I think one of the biggest things that you are going to be able to hear is the maturity and the growth in each member.”
Earlier last week, the fellas took to their Instagram to announce the official ‘A New Day Tour’, which will kick off on April 22nd in Fresno, California and make its final stop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 2nd. More dates are said to be added.
As for the album, there’s no word on when that’ll be available, but it’s safe to say… stay tuned.
