Here’s the Date for Season Three of HBO’s Insecure…

Things are about to get really insecure again.

Yesterday, show creator and lead actress of HBO’s Insecure Issa Rae shared some exciting news, and a premiere date for season three of the critically acclaimed series just so happened to be at the top of her list.

During a short video clip uploaded to her social media accounts, Rae, along with co-stars Yvonne Orgi, Amanda Seales, and Natasha Rothwell, announced that the third season of Insecure would be making its grand entrance on August 12th.

Loosely based on Rae’s web phenomenon, Awkward Black Girl, Insecure follows the everyday chronicles of two Black females living in Los Angeles who are exploring love, life, careers, and everything in between.

After two successful runs, the comedy-drama is still one of the most anticipated shows on the network, bringing in a high viewer rate with each and every episode.

A couple weeks ago, it was rumored that Jay Ellis, who portrays the character Lawrence, had not filmed for season three at all, leaving fans to question whether he would have a role in the coming episodes or not.

We’re assuming that the storyline would pick off exactly where season two left off last September, but it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see…

What do you hope is in store for season three of Insecure?
