Take a Look at Nike’s Newly-Released Sneaker in Honor of Serena Williams
Nike has paid homage to Serena Williams in the utmost way. According to FootwearNews.com, the leading sportswear brand just released a limited edition Blazer Mid sneaker in honor of the 36-year-old tennis legend, and it’s actually doper than you could ever imagine.
Serving as a part of Nike’s popular Blazer collection–first introduced in 1972 as a performance basketball sneaker, these kicks are certainly one of a kind. They are designed with a crisp, all-white exterior, featuring a variety of leather-based textures, which includes a reptile-embossed leather for its body, pebbled leather for each Swoosh symbol, and eyestay panel and full-grain leather for the tongue and heel tab.
The attention-grabber happens to be Williams’ W logo embroidered on the tongue and tattooed in black across the special wide ribbon laces to add the final touch.
When asked about the clean black and white color combination, Nike described it as “a nod to the greatest athlete of all time’s quest to continue to rewrite the history books when it comes to defining sports dominance.”
The Nike Women’s Blazer Mid SW made its debut on May 24th. The retail price is set at $120.00.
