Not even a month after the premiere of season two, The Chi is already renewed for a third season.

Having made its debut back in January of 2018, the Showtime-exclusive series has been one of the network’s most-watched shows since its release, and the fans just can’t seem to get enough of it.

The Chi revels in revealing the beating heart of the South Side of Chicago,” Gary Levine, President of Entertainment at Showtime Networks, told Deadline. “We, like our viewers, have fallen in love with these characters, and we remain eager to see where Lena and her fellow artists will take them in season three.”

Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton), Jacob Latimore (Detroit), Alex Hibbert (Moonlight), Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Treme), Yolanda Ross (How to Get Away with Murder), and Armando Riesco (Brooklyn’s Finest) star in the hit drama, among others.

Catch The Chi on Showtime every Sunday night… at 10/9c!
