Summer 2019 is almost over and so are its fashion trends. As we move forward into the fall, we’re going to see urban chic like never before. There’s nothing quite like living in the city during the fall months and big-name designers are reflecting that with these new collections. Fashion month shows in London, Paris, and New York gave us a peek inside the latest trends and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s coming. In this post, we’re going to show you the hottest fall fashion trends that you can’t miss out on.  Throw your sandals and shorts back in the closet, it’s time to go shopping.

The Hottest Urban Chic Fall Fashion Trends of 2019

This year’s fall fashion is a trip back in time. The 70s, 80s, and especially the 90s are well-represented as designers find comfort in color, floral patterns, and power suits.

Quilty Patterns

One big 70s trend that’s coming back is the quilted pattern look. It’s one that could’ve gone horribly wrong, but designers like Oscar de la Renta and Louis Vuitton were able to pull off modern-looking pieces. It works best on overcoats and dresses, but we’ll see where this trend goes from here.

Pistachio and Lavender

Fall is all about earthy color, which we’ll soon learn isn’t stopping the neon revolution, but pistachio and lavender are prominent in most collections this year. The head-to-toe pistachio look is an addicting one. It’s warm and comforting and remarkably easy on the eyes. Designers like Sally LaPointe and Bevza are making the most of this look. Not to be outdone, Tom Ford and Rodarte are doing a similar thing with lavender. Last year was all about pinks and this year is all purple all the time.

Power Suits

The power suit is back in a big way. Sharp shoulders, big belts, and Savile Row tailoring highlight this trend that’s never really gone away, but seems to be thriving like it hasn’t in years. Givenchy, McQueen, and Dolce & Gabbana all have their hand in this cookie jar, so why shouldn’t you?

Neons

Like we said earlier, fall isn’t just about earth tones. Continuing the throwback to 80s and 90s summer fashion, we’re seeing a lot of neons pop up at these fall shows. It’s bold, but you can either go full neon this fall and pair it with this collection of Balenciaga sneakers, or accent a tamer look with a dash of neon.

Statement Hats

Let your hat say a little something extra about you this fall. In years past, the beanie has dominated the cooler weather, but stylistically, it’s pretty limiting. Bucket hats are the hot thing right now, throwing it back to the 90s yet again.

Fall Is For the Fashionable

Fall is the perfect season for experimental fashion. The chill weather allows you to layer as many of these urban chic designs as you like. Enjoy the freedom while you can, because winter is coming and so are boots and overcoats. If you liked this article, come back and visit our site for more on fashion and entertainment.
