Actress and ‘Community’ alum, Yvette Nicole Brown is set to debut her first screenplay in the latest BET original film, Always a Bridesmaid. The film stars Javicia Leslie, who emerged as a star on the series, ‘God Friended Me’ and Jordan Calloway, known for his roles in ‘Riverdale’ and ‘Black Lightning’. The Always a Bridesmaid movie premiered on September 28th.
Always a Bridesmaid is a romantic comedy directed by Trey Haley, who also directs the BET series, The Family Business, based off the Carl Weber book series. The show also starred Javicia.
Javicia plays Corina James, who has been a bridesmaid so many times that she is starting to wonder if she will ever be a bride. Always A Bridesmaid ponders the question, ‘Is love and marriage for everyone?’ And if so, how do you get over your own stuff in order to find and keep your one?
