Evvie McKinney has finally has her culminating moment as an artist in this entertainment business.  After winning Fox’s singing competition, The Four, last year, Evvie has been waiting for what would be the next big move in her career.  Now, Evvie McKinney signs major label deal with Motown Gospel and Capital CMG.  McKinney also has a publishing deal in place with Capital CMG for her songwriting.

“After watching Evvie triumph on The Four, it was clear that she is the rare vocalist who is equally as gifted in her stage presence,” says Monica Coates, Co-Executive Director of Motown Gospel. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to further develop her into a formidable artist.”

Last August, Evvie revealed her debut single, “How Do You Feel,” but the song was rushed in order to make it onto the second season of The Four. There was no direction for her career after winning the competition so the song was left out there until Evvie regrouped and reconfigured. The news that Evvie signs major deal with Motown Gospel makes it clear that the singer is planning to make her mainstream reemergence primarily as a Gospel singer, which makes sense for the singer who also seemed more Gospel than R&B.

Evvie is currently working on her debut album, which is set to be released in 2020.

Congratulations to Evvie on this huge announcement.
